Kyocera Microtools 4 flute solid carbide ball end mills

Key Features:

  • Design: Ball nose (full radius) with 4 flutes for increased tool rigidity and smoother finishes compared to standard 2 flute versions
  • Material: Manufactured from sub-micro grain carbide, providing superior edge sharpness and wear resistance
  • Geometry: Features a 30° helix angle and center-cutting capability, making it ideal for plunging and complex 3D surfacing
  • Size Range: Specialized in miniature diameters, typically ranging from 0.10mm to 1/4"
  • Finish:  These usually come as bright (uncoated) finish, but some are also available in AlTiN for tough metals and DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) for non ferrous materials

The Kyocera Microtools 1825 Series is a high performance line of 4-flute carbide ball nose end mills designed for micro-machining and high-precision 3D contouring.  This series is an industry staple for applications requiring extreme accuracy and fine surface finishes in small-scale parts.

Applications

  • Medical and Dental: For machining intricate orthopedic implants or dental prosthetics
  • Electronics:  Milling micro-components, sensors, and high-density circuit board features
  • Jewelry and Engraving:  Precise 3D detailing and high-resolution engraving
  • Materials:  Excellent for non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper, brass), plastics, and even tougher alloys like steel and titanium in micro-scale operations

Since 1987, Kyocera has designed and manufactured tight tolerance carbide tool for a broad range of markets including electronics, industrial, medical, automotive, and aerospace industries.  Tools are manufactured in accordance with ISO certified quality procedures.   They offer high-volume, CNC grinding consistency in diameters from .0015" to .500", with tight tolerances and superior surface finishes.
